Street Photography #1
Wow! What an experience! I have never done street photography…well, besides taking pictures of inanimate objects. Today I learned a few tricks of the trade with the Colorado Springs Photography Meetup group. Thanks guys and gals! Here are some highlights from my day:
1-A young boy with his father on a bench. The boy kept jumping up and down yelling “beech, beech, beech”. The dad kept correcting him…”No son, that’s a bad word…it’s BENCH”.
2-A gentleman playing a guitar on the street corner. He was so into his songs and strings that loud people, barking dogs and the glare of the sun couldn’t stop him from singing. Quite enjoyable by the way.
3-The “Freerunner”. A young man who does acrobatics off of buildings. Not legal he told me, but what is in Manitou Springs?? I was treated to jumps, climbing, hanging, front flips and more. I wish him lots of luck with his future stunts!
4-The friendly flute player who graciously stops her sweet tune to thank you when you drop money in her hat. Very nice and played wonderful!
5-”Benji” as I call him. The cutest little dog sitting outside of a store waiting for his owners.
