A very special Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving 2008 will hold a very special place in my memories and heart because I had the opportunity to photograph a wonderful Army homecoming! I was on call for the entire week of Thanksgiving knowing full well that the troop could come in any time…including Thanksgiving. Everything went well and the troop got here on the originally scheduled day, Wednesday the 26th. I met the wonderful mom and kids who were eagerly awaiting their dad’s arrival and then observed the rest of the families waiting. I have never felt so much love, joy, happiness and excitement like that all in one place! The gym was filled with laughter, tears and signs that read “welcome home dad” and “thank-you heroes.” It was amazing! I have never been to a homecoming like this before and I will never forget it! I want to thank the Davis family for allowing me to tag-a-long on their extra-special Thanksgiving! I hope you enjoy the slide show and please click on the speaker icon for the music…it really makes the slide show!

Hi wanted to see if you were still doing homecomings? I have one in a few weeks (not sure the time and date yet). If you could let me know thanks so much!
